The 2022 season was a whirlwind in recovery.

With the long adjustment period waiting for the goverment to decide who could work and who could not, we were blessed to be designiated as an essential service.

Time to heal the divides between business owners struggling to continue business as usual and the complete eveaporation of a willing workforce translated to all trades suffering greatly, price increases and uncompormising delays in the delivery of service.

We dont feel special in our struggle. Its been happening to everyone, everywhere.

Without the love of our crafts, products, services and the integrity to continue delivering a great customer experience, many business have just quit, closed and been consumed by the pressure of a changing economy.

With extreme tanacity, I, Spike continued to serve the recreational boating community with plenty of assumptions being quelled.

The facts are simple.

1. No crew means fewer boats served

2. Large projects take longer with just two hands

3. The deferral of payment for services rendered via our Star Client Program was a very expensive mistake and therefor ended.

4. Credit is pre-paid

Moving forward also means going back to what worked, for everyone.

The booking form serves three very important functions.

A. Finding a boat in a yard, building, yard or a dock leaves zero room for guessing. The time wasted by inquiring boat owners that dont even know where their boats are is maddening to say the very least... Including the very clear position of the vessel to be served for assesment is absolutley required.

Its funny how many boaters think I should just ask around til I by chance meet another person that knows the exact position of them and their boat. Its not my imagination, its a reality. This kind of time costs money...

B. Our booking form is a zoom meeting, at a time specified by the client. During this meeting virtually or in person, a video recording of our conversation is captured for as much or as little review required to make a purchasing decision.

All to often estimates provided are shopped around to the lowest bidders while the fully informed client leverages my knowledge to broker lower cost for service. Knowledge has value, in dollars.

C. The booking fee. The $500 rebateable / non refundable deposit fully accomodates and allows enough time to be thorough during an assesment. The $500 rebateable/ non refundable deposit also provides for transportation expenses and a meal any where a boat must be served in Ontario.

Obviously the $500 rebateable/ non-refundale deposit also puts some skin in the game and deters a slick boat owner from wasting my time and mental energy trying to provide a premium service.

To all the boaters that still want the best yacht detailing service available in Ontario. I promise to be available to those that use the booking form, collaborate in our conversations with respectful rapport and are ready to learn about the way we beautify boats.
